№ 03 — What We Tend To

The appliances that anchor a Palisades kitchen.

Luxury Wolf range

ii.

Ranges, Ovens & Cooktops

Dual-fuel, induction, and gas. Ignition, convection, thermostat calibration, and the fussy bits that make a Wolf a Wolf.

Wolf · Viking · La Cornue · Dacor

European built-in dishwasher

iii.

Dishwashers

Quiet European dishwashers tend to fail quietly — pumps, heaters, door seals, control boards. We diagnose without guesswork.

Miele · Bosch · Thermador · Fisher & Paykel

Front-load washer

iv.

Laundry

Front-loaders, steam dryers, and stacked units in tight canyon closets. Bearings, belts, boards, and vent assessments.

Miele · LG Signature · Electrolux · Whirlpool

Installation & Commissioning

We install new appliances with the same care we bring to repair. Level, plumb, gas-safe, and dialed-in — with factory commissioning for Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Miele. Rebuilding after the 2025 fires? We handle insurance-coordinated installs and the long tail of post-move-in surprises.

New installation · Post-rebuild commissioning · Warranty coordination

Stephen Peterson, founder. Pacific Palisades, California.

№ 04 — Stephen's Story

Fourteen years of house calls, one ZIP code at a time.

I grew up watching my father rebuild washing machines in our garage in Bakersfield. By sixteen I could swap a compressor blindfolded, and by twenty-two I had my EPA certification and a beat-up van full of tools. I moved to the Palisades in 2009 to fix a single Sub-Zero for a family friend — and never left.

I founded Pacific Palisades Appliance Repair in 2011 on three stubborn beliefs: that a technician should look you in the eye and tell you the truth; that OEM parts are worth the wait; and that a house is not a worksite — it's someone's home.

These days I lead a tight team of four factory-trained technicians. We answer our own phones. We show up when we say we will. And when January 2025 took so much of our town with it, we committed to a standing 15% rebuild discount for any neighbor repairing or replacing appliances in a damaged home — no paperwork, no expiration, just our way of helping the Palisades come back.

№ 07 — Our Approach

A small company, by design.

01

Diagnose before we quote

A flat-rate visit. We tell you what's wrong, what it costs, and whether it's worth fixing — before anything is opened up.

02

OEM parts, always

We source from factory distributors. No aftermarket knockoffs, no mystery boards. Your warranty — and your home — stay intact.

03

One technician, one job

The person who diagnoses your appliance is the person who fixes it. You won't meet three strangers and repeat yourself.

04

Clean out, clean in

Shoe covers, floor runners, drop cloths on stone. We leave the kitchen the way we found it — quieter, ideally.

“Stephen arrived when he said he would, diagnosed a 15-year-old Sub-Zero in twenty minutes, and had it running by the end of the afternoon. Wonderfully uneventful.”

— Homeowner, Huntington Palisades
